I'm David, a native Californian, born and raised amidst the vibrant energy of Los Angeles. However, my roots run deeper than the bustling city life – my summers were painted with the desert hues of 29 Palms, just outside Joshua Tree National Park. Those days spent exploring the rugged beauty of Joshua Tree with my grandfather ignited a lifelong love affair with the outdoors.

The seeds of my culinary passion were sown in the diverse tapestry of Los Angeles. Inspired by the melting pot of flavors around me, I fell for the art of cooking. This love led me to become a chef in Southern California, where I garnered awards and savored the joy of crafting delectable dishes that spoke to the soul.

My creative journey extends beyond the kitchen. With a knack for artistic salmon flies, I found myself tying intricate creations that mirrored the beauty of nature. Woodwork became another canvas for my creativity, each piece a testament to the joy of working with my hands and shaping raw materials into something extraordinary.

Photography has been a constant companion since my teenage years. The journey began early, as I worked alongside a wedding photographer at the age of 16, capturing the moments that tell timeless tales. Now, with my wife, a fellow photography enthusiast, I traverse the diverse landscapes of California. From quaint small towns to hidden gems, our lens captures the serendipitous beauty that unfolds in every adventure.

Our wanderlust leads us to the lesser-known corners of California, where each small town holds stories waiting to be told. Armed with our cameras, we embrace the joy of discovery, finding inspiration in the unexplored and forging memories in the most unexpected places.

Join me on this journey through the heart of California, where culinary art, fly tying, woodwork, and photography converge into a rich tapestry of experiences. Every photograph, every dish, and every artistic creation is a chapter in a story that celebrates the beauty of the journey itself.
